The Aftermath

Breaking news report... ... ....

Wes ran 13.2 miles the day before and woke up looking and feeling like this!  Absolutely shocking photos never seen before.

If you have a weak stomach you may not want to see this, you have been warned!

Disturbing to say the least....

Notice when this poor creature first notices how hideous he has become.

The look is simply frightening.  Oh my.

Now..... he is taking a second look.  Oh, yes, this is bad.

You ran 13 miles and now you have Runner's Face.

Wow, do I know no boundaries?  I guess not, smh at myself.  I feel very sorry for my wife.

I promise I didn't feel this bad, because this is real bad.  I was pretty gimpy following my run.  Both knees were sore, muscles I hadn't previously felt before hurt, but my main concern (outside of my face), was my left Achilles.  It was extremely tight and I had difficulty walking.  After I got up and going, it loosened up and felt better but if I stopped it was the same thing all over again.

I am going to keep this post short because I'm not sure I know too many people that can read with that face staring down at them.

After the run I decided to give my legs some time to recover, especially the Achilles.  I refrained from any type of running for seven days.  Once back I started with a couple slow two mile runs followed by a couple more days of rest.  My Achilles was still pretty sore, so I continued to take it easy for about two and a half weeks.

I am happy to report that I am completely pain free and  feel like I am running stronger than ever.  My legs feel strong, my confidence has gone way up, all I need to do now is get back into my running routine again.  So this has you caught up to where I actually am in my training.  I am currently doing four to five mile runs and still feeling strong, time to start thinking about increasing my distance.  Okay feel free to never click on this post again.

Ba Bye!
